While historically for Brian, Richmond has not been the best of tracks, it was a very different scene last fall when the Sprint Cup Series entered the last race to make the Chase. It had been a whirlwind of races leading up to the Rock N Roll 400. BV and the Red Bull Racing Team pulled it all together for one final charge and made the Chase at the 3/4 mile oval. Since then, it has been a struggle. A series of bad luck and poor finishes have dropped him to 25th in this season standings and the time is now to turn it around. In addition, Vickers was the pole winner for last springs race where we head this weekend. If the team and driver can pull it together again, and take the great start of the spring race, and the good luck of the fall event, there is hope for solid finish and to gain back some of the points lost in the past three events. Blown tires in Phoenix and Texas along with being caught up in a wreck at Talladega have hampered the charge to get closer to the top 12 and stay within striking distance of the 2010 Chase.
